I have been lead to understand that in the interests of sustainability Design Aid now needs to charge for many of its services. My organisation has in the past been fortunate to receive some excellent design services from you for free. I now have a new project with a limited budget but wish to retain the same high standard of professional design in my new literature. Can you tell me what sort of fees I am likely to pay for Design Aid's services. PS great to see you back on the scene with this most valuable service.
You are right as much as we loved granting all the services free of charge... with no funding forthcoming - it was not a sustainable solution for Design Aid and we do now charge fees where we can. Consultation and advice regarding creative solutions remains a FREE service... from Design Aid thus making a conversation with our creative director the place to start with any creative requirements regardless of budget and who you use as a service provider. We are of course permanently in conflict with our selves when it comes to our fees. Design Aid wants to support all charitable projects as much as it can including low costs but as this is our income source we need to balance that with Design Aid's need to cover overheads and remain sustainable, so we can continue to help others long into the future. What I will say is that we do a great job at making budgets of any size work for a project. Design Aid has many years experience of the Charity Sector and has a very complete understanding when it comes to satisfying the requirements of both good communications and meeting, or maximising budgets.
Talk to us about your budgets and your needs... and we will help you draw up a creative brief that satisfies both. Our clients/beneficiaries have always found that budgets large or small can be maximised through talking to Design Aid about their project. When Comparing Design Aid fees... please be sure you are comparing like with like! We can assure you that when it comes to securing a professional creative service Design Aid's fees are what you would expect from a charitable NON PROFIT organisation with no shareholders or business owners to pay profits to. However, Design Aid often sees work going to a "cheeper" suplier only for that organisation to come back to us when they find they have not been sold what they wanted and needed, or that costs have escelated beyound the original price because the original quote was for a minimum amount of work to satifie an incomplete brief when Design AId's fees were all inclusive of everything needed regardless of the original brief. For example what is the use of a website that is not search engine friendly and what is the use of a litriture that is not as accessible as posible? |
