The Bretton Woods Project was established in 1995 by a network of UK non-government organisations (NGOs) to help them press for changes in the World Bank and IMF. It bridges groups working in development, environment and human rights. The Project produces a newsletter and policy briefings, organises meetings and develops campaigning and advocacy opportunities for UK groups and groups in other countries. The UK Aid Network (UKAN) is a network of UK-based international development NGOs, working together to advocate for more and better aid. The International Legal Adviser (Maternity Cover)?s areas of responsibility are as follows:
a. Providing advice and input to the organization on international law as it relates to REDRESS? work on the prohibition of torture and remedies and reparation for survivors;

International Head of Leadership Giving
The job holder will be responsible for:
?Soliciting and developing major gifts to WSPA International from WSPA supporters around the world.
?Providing leadership, strategic direction and implementation for WSPA?s international leadership giving programme (trust & foundation, wealthy individuals and corporate fundraising programmes) in order to generate increased year on year funding for WSPA programmes.
?Leading and supporting the development of leadership giving programmes throughout WSPA?s International, Regional and National offices.
?Identifying WSPA?s key international project funding opportunities in liaison with global project funding staff to gain agreement of funding priorities for projects to be added to the ?Project Portfolio?.
?Leading the strategic development of WSPA?s ?Project Portfolio? by working closely with programmes and policy staff to develop high quality strategic, measurable project proposals that can be presented to global major donors for funding.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Fundraising
1.Develop and implement global marketing strategies and outreach for WSPA in order to attract cost efficient leadership giving from wealthy individuals, companies and foundations.
2.To oversee and direct the submission of applications for funding to international Trusts, Foundations and other grant-giving bodies, worldwide, in cooperation with national offices as appropriate.
3.To directly solicit and maintain relationships with key donors and prospects to support WSPA International, in cooperation with national offices as appropriate.
Management
4.Line management of 3 staff in the International Leadership Giving team.
5.Functional management of leadership giving staff (major gift fundraising, corporate, foundations and individual major donors) in the national offices.
6.Liaison with WSPA staff worldwide, external agencies, member societies, and other external stakeholders as appropriate.
7.To provide regular briefings and feedback to the International Marketing Director on all aspects of leadership giving development and progress worldwide.
8.To work closely with the Director of Programmes to support the development and implementation of major gift fundraising strategies worldwide.

Fundraising support
10.To research, write and/or commission cases for support that will have direct application in leadership giving initiatives.
11.To act as a central reference point and information resource for WSPA?s overseas and HQ fundraising offices with regards to cases for support and other project funding issues through use of efficient tools such as an intranet.
12.To assist WSPA programme staff in developing project planning and writing project proposals that can be developed into inspiring and appropriate cases for support.
13.To build WSPA?s international capacity and systems to advance the success of project funding ? e.g. working to improve quality and flow quality of work reports, developing best practise around donor visits to sites.
14.Responsible for all global donors marketing collateral including case for support development and financial reporting.
15.Responsible for market research; undertake or commission independent and accurate research for prospect identification and cultivation.
16.Responsible for negotiating and managing WSPA?s international contractual obligations with regard to affinity products, gifts in kind, sponsorship and corporate fundraising initiatives.
17.Create and communicate the policies, standards and protocols to support the efficient coordination of leadership giving throughout the WSPA network e.g. the agreed policies for ethics and income sharing in global corporate deals.
18.Evaluate and assess, on an ongoing basis, competitor activity in order to make informed recommendations resulting in a positive impact on WSPA?s growth and profitability.
19.Ensure familiarity with the markets served by active participation in the various fundraising & markets and field work.
