Hi I'm Bruce
If you look through the About us and history pages of the Design Aid site you will see a lot about my background as this is all my fault. With the help of the local CVS and some friends I established Design Aid in 1998 prior to that I had been giving away large amounts of design work (around £75k in 1997) through my own graphic design company.

Get yourself joined up to the website - its free and there are loads of cool features, you can post your own links, events and if you ask to upgrade your membership to "author" you can submit news stories and articles about your own projects and organisations.

We look forward to meeting and getting to know you here in the forums

Don't forget to tell us all how you can use Design Aid's support, what you need or what you can do to help design Aid and our beneficiaries

Hi Bruce,

I'm registered, but won't be around for the next month or so as I'm heading off to Sri Lanka (yes again!)

I'll give you a ring when I get back.

(For anyone else reading this, I'm one of Design Aid's trustees and have been involved with the charity since 1999 when Bruce was still a youngster!)

Have a great time Ann and be sure to bring back plenty of pics of cute baby elephants for us.

Talk to you when you get back and we will set up a meeting - meanwhile, I'll keep working on and promoting the website to get the word out. David Lucas has been attending, (and has me and him booked on) a few Charity Sector seminars to do the same.

Micheal has been in touch and is of course behind us on bringing back Design Aid.

I think the next step is to get a newsletter out from this site to a good size Charity Sector email list.

If I have time to set up a meeting with Rodger and David while you are away just to run through a bit of a hit list on what we need to do I will.

Hello I'm Su who works for The Fragile X Society, a charity whose primary aim is to support all people who have or are carriers of a condition called fragile X (the most common known cause of inherited learning disabilities).

We're looking to re-design our website so I am checking out what Design Aid has to offer.

Hi Su
Welcome to the website and it was great to talk with you the other day. I will get some costs and ideas to you latter this week for your consideration.

I hope you like our efforts with our new web site so far, its all still very new. You are welcome to post info about any projects you have here in the forums or ask us to upgrade your membership so you can post you news direct on the site and be included in the e newsletter.

Please do use the forum to post your tips, advice, ideas, questions advice requests and anything else of interest to members.

We will be making a big push on the forums latter in the year to get them busy and useful as we feel there is a real shortfall of good helpful forums for UK charities.

Everyone remember its members that make forums so please follow Su's lead and make an join up to make an introduction.
